Bridgewater Middle School "Bobcat Life" Newsletter Summary

  • Modified Testing Schedule: FAST ELA testing takes place on Tuesday, September 8, and FAST Math on Thursday, September 10. All students must report to 1st period for attendance before moving to testing areas.
  • Athletics: Home soccer games against Horizon West Middle School start Wednesday, September 9, with the girls' team playing at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by the boys' team.
  • Severe Weather Procedures: Parents are encouraged to remain in vehicles and wait out severe weather during dismissal. Early sign-outs require parking, a valid photo ID, and placement on the student's pickup list.
  • Micromobility Policy: As of September 8, 2026, electric bikes, electric scooters, hoverboards, and one-wheeled devices are strictly prohibited on school property or locked to perimeter fencing. Non-motorized bikes and scooters are permitted.
  • Clubs & Programs:
    • PAL Basketball: Meets Thursdays from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Aug 27 – Oct 1) for grades 6–8 ($7 fee).
    • Astronomy Club: Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
    • YMCA Before/After School: Morning (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM) and Afternoon (until 6:00 PM) programs available ($30/week + $16 registration fee).
  • Upcoming Events & Dates:
    • Progress Report 1: Available in Skyward Parent Access on Thursday, September 17.
    • Scholastic Book Fair: September 14–18 in the Media Center.
    • PTSO Spirit Night: Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream on Wednesday, Sept 9, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
